My Wife Wants A Black One

natural moral law and its universal character

Pope Benedict XVI. Today, the participants adopted the General Session audience the Pontifical Academy for Life, led by its Chairman Msgr. Rino Fisichella. At the beginning of his speech highlighted the importance of the relationship between bioethics and natural law, which was the main topic of the meeting, and who is in his words become more important in the context of continuous development in the scientific field:

"As I pointed out in his latest encyclical, Caritas in veritate" The primary and central field of cultural struggle between art and categorically demands moral responsibility of man is now bioethics, in which is radical in the game, the mere possibility of integral development. This is a very delicate and crucial area in which the dramatic power raises the fundamental question: whether man makes himself, or dependent on God. Scientific discoveries in this field and the possibility of technical intervention seem so advanced, that leaves us with the choice between rationality: reason and open to transcendence, and reason, concluded in immanence "(No. 74). In relation to similar issues that are so critically affect human life in its the eternal tension between immanence and transcendental, and which have great weight in súvislosti with the culture of future generations, is nevyhntuné vytvoriť integral educational project, the aim of combating these issues pozitívnou balanced and constructive vision, especially in the relationship between faith and reason. "

the holy Otec pointed out, human life knows its own development, and the horizon of scientific and bioethical review is open, but it should be noted that when it comes to matters relating to human beings, scientists must never think that they are in the hands of only a manageable matter without soul. Although it is now increasingly talking about rights, which guarantee the dignity of the person, it is evident that there are always those rights accorded to human life in its natural stages of development and most vulnerable. According to Benedict XVI. history shows what can be dangerous and destructive state, issuing laws on matters relating to man and society, claiming that he is a source of ethics and principle.

"natural moral law, strong in its universal character, can avert such a danger and in particular offers an authentic legislature to guarantee respect for human beings, even towards the whole of creation order. He is seen as a catalyst for consensus among people of different cultures and religions and allows to bridge the gap, as demonstrated by the existence of order in nature vpečateného Creator and recognized as a true instance, rational ethical discretion in order to achieve good and avoid evil.

Conclusion For Dancing Raisins

City Council 24/02 22/02 23/02

Speech by Angela Bindi the City Council of 22 February 2010 on the employment crisis and Novartis SWISEL

How minority forces, we ask this council can discuss the plight of employment that is emerging for our area, where the largest production companies are unleashing attacks and instrumental incomprehensible employment.

SWISEL With regard to the crisis lasts a long time, the reduction in employment levels has already occurred over the years, from more than 100 workers of the early investment to the existing 28 and in fear for future employment held ... given the lack of ability to present a business plan to relaunch the product, that is high quality, for example, medical containers could be purchased by civil protection for the earthquake to the Abruzzo or Haiti ....

Instead Novartis regarding the case is very different, here we are dealing with a company that in 2009 he enjoyed an outstanding balance above all expectations 44.267 billion dollars during the calendar year 2009 , up 7% compared to 2008, compared with one billion came directly from local production, and 10 billion profit, decided to remove the trading system, arguing saying absolutely groundless " that making the move responds to the urgent necessity to put the company in a position to maintain and improve their competitiveness in the medium and long term "than to say that the figures of the informants pharmaceuticals are no longer useful because the tenders would be at regional level.

These are distortions of the capitalist system, where the multinationals, beyond what they write in their brochures on the social responsibilities:

- respect for work and the worker

- importance of the social welfare of families

- protection of the workplace as a tool for human dignity ...

decide to demolish the workers as if they were pawns to be sacrificed on the altar of profit, even if this is a double-digit profit, Glaxo see who fired 4,000 people in 550 in Italy because the profits were 11 instead of 14% and this in a year of global crisis.

pact on state-Novartis also weighs the story, however, silent about the mainstream press, Minister welfare and health, Mr. Sacconi, Minister until last December that he could play the role of institutional guarantor of public health while his wife, he still holds the post of director general of Farmitalia, the association that represents the interests pharmaceutical companies. Nobody at the time found the obvious conflict of interest.

But to understand more precisely the perverse logic of this multinational just re-read what Mark wrote Never ADNovartis Italy, in September,

"We are interested in investing on 'Italy, in fact we were able to maintain levels employment (3,800 persons, ed. ) -.

But the conditions have to change: you need a quick and easy access to the market, all recognition 'innovation, more dialogue with the Government and the Regions. If we invest, we expect a return. "

"We are the only ones who did not put the workers on the move and I think I can maintain this level of employment again next year, but much depends on the decisions of the Italian government.

If they choose to further reduce the roof of the public pharmaceutical expenditure, which we believe should remain at 14% but dropped to 13.3%, probably will make necessary adjustments. I need to know where to invest and how sustainability. "

Province of Siena is a reality, our administrators are not prepared to negotiate with such realities, we have passed from Sclavo, Siena and humanized the whole company .. then move on to Eni, the then Marcucci family, which then cost us a good reputation through infected blood, finally to arrive at Chiron to Novartis, giants increasingly distant from our local reality.

From Siena Novartis claims much, but it is already in place a quiet detachment that I pleased the union made it known in numbers and professionalism of the workers as they are summoned by the office staff and forced to resign contracted.

of this practice we are aware in regard to a worker who did not accept the "treatment" and this was accompanied to the gates with methods humanly unacceptable and out of our industrial relations.

Siena Typically these workers are in their 50s. Hardly relocatable. These are systematically replaced with staff on fixed-term contracts and temporary employment and not tied to the territory. See hundreds of assumptions "pumped" from southern Italy, especially Naples area, rather than absorb the staff made the move from Flores, or Calp or the myriad of small businesses in our province are paying a heavy price to the crisis.

Instead, these companies was taken only a small number of workers, just to shut up the institutions to which but wonder large benefits.

Infrastructure - storey complex - buildings facilitated in every way - freedom of emissions, etc .... penalty constant employment blackmail.

Just read the communiqué Rappuoli, on parliamentary questions that get to say

"Everyone is 'absolutely free to submit questions in that wish, some of us is because of bitterness' in this whole affair Italy should be proud to have been at the forefront in scientific and commercial research and vaccine development. " "Of course this kind of controversy threatens jobs - he added, referring to the controversy that followed the decision by Novartis to eliminate 24 positions just in Siena. To me it becomes hard to ask Novartis to further invest in Siena if you are then this type of reaction. "

I wonder

How can fulfill its role a mayor who is blamed for having legitimately function for its mission namely protecting the worker ?

And how can a local government to protect its territory, the health of its citizens, in the presence of the continuous blackmail of these companies.

But even when the government allowed builders guarantee, variants, planes, airports, emissions free .... If governments do not reach the levels of pharmaceutical expenditure request (this time was 14% see Mark Never ..) are worthless previous concessions.

It is clear that states are increasingly hostage to the multinational companies, only in this light we can understand the 24 layoffs, which could be even just a warning signal to get the full payment of 24 million doses of vaccine (but only delivered to the Italian government 10 million).

It appears that both n place a confrontation between the Novartis , and our government would not want to pay more the remainder of the vaccines were booked and not used to and ll'appello miss 90 million on 184 planned.

Another key to of layoffs is a future relocation of production, and then the inexorable reduction in employment levels over the coming months could reach the 500 temporary workers or forward. Proof of this would be the stabilization of non 25 temporary workers in 3 years working in the that will most likely be replaced.

This possibility is not excluded because the company has no plan to medium term, while talking of moving production of flu vaccine, as well as polio, but with regard to vaccine for meningitis still do not know where it will be produced ... ..

insurance And if there are only for 2010 and 2011, and investments are so limited ... 15 million to two in Siena and Rosia, HOW SHOULD I FEEL 2000 EMPLOYEES AS NEVER CALL THEM? AND HOW CAN SET THEIR LIFE AND THEIR FUTURE?

How come no one asks for a real social responsibility to corporations? And how can 'compete in the 1st world countries that provide funding and labor at a reduced cost of a 5 °?

But back to our territory, Masi The administration has included in the Structure Plan for the area 240,000 square meters of Bellaria, all things are yet to be built 822,000 cubic meters, which are a magnitude.

All this is designed for the development of Pole Biotechnology, although the former area Bayer is largely empty and can accommodate most of these volumes.

WE DO NOT WE WILL NEVER AGREE TO FILL THE POST OF VIRGIN LAND THAT HAS IN BAYER!

administration but never justify the reasons he decided to expand in the direction of Rosia and it looks like under pressure from Novartis. Eroding hectares of virgin land and ending in an agricultural area and destroy all of great natural beauty and landscape.

So we ask: Novartis deserves all this appeasement? Or is it legitimate to go back to this wicked overbuilding of a 'very sensitive area for the aquifer?

This company has always gotten everything he asked, consumes 500 cubic meters of water per day and after use ends up in the ditch and then reel in the Merse, I want to remind you that in just two checks from the waters were Arpat not up to standard.

There have been oil spills ever in the pit reel. There was and there is use of paraformaldehyde for the sterilization of the premises, while the amount declared by the corporation, was minimal.

L 'Arpat the 06/03/2009, sent to the Mayor and the Province of Siena, a note which read: " Novartis using paraformaldehyde, for the purpose of reclamation and disinfecting process, a substance that is transformed as a result of fumigation in formaldehyde (IARC in June of 2004 has classified formaldehyde in Group I - Carcinogenic found to humans). Subsequent ventilation of the fumigated involves the emission of formaldehyde. "

the substance is in use is that of the establishment of Rosia Siena and, in particular, is used both to Rosia in research laboratories in the production departments. " More specifically states Rosia that were made 20 fumigation fumigations in 2007 and 24 in 2008, while there have been no reported data fumigations in Siena during the same period.

Arpat asked the municipalities to " issue interim measures against Novartis for the submission of the application for authorization pursuant to art. 269 \u200b\u200bof Legislative Decree no. 152/2006 " ,

while now does not have any kind of emissions permits and to us there's advisers denied even the right to view the results of the technical committee which was held on emissions between administrations, the Arpat and Novartis.

Document also belongs to us as stated by the Regional Ombudsman Dr. Morales.

Finally, but the topic deserves to be treated in the first place, the agreements that the company has entered into with private hospitals so that (as we hear) employees who accidentally get hurt at work they are requested to these institutions instead of the Public Hospital Emergency Department. This makes us think that in this way the company might want to avoid the accident INAIL statements. Even the union of this welcome to give us more detailed information and if those facts correspond to reality

Why WORLD LEADER IN PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS COMPANY NEEDS TO SAVE SAFETY?

We objectively concerned about the turn that is taking the whole affair and for the hundreds of working men and women who lost their serenity and hope to secure decent work and sustainable that is not related to changes in earnings in investors than to suffer the disgrace of expulsion from unreasonable perpretata cutter heads turn.

As we have written in recent days "out of this crisis is not only the airport and infrastructure, "we suggest a Marshall Plan for sanitation of the area: there are no antisimiche schools, public buildings to be restored, historic centers to be recovered, so work many companies in our territory.

Let me ask you a question ...

Can you give me the right to ask the right question or name a phenomenon is not as easy as it might seem at first sight. What is more true to questions whose answers then change our attitude, thinking or viewpoint. We encourage about it every day, especially when watching various television talk shows or in personal conversations with our friends and acquaintances. It is interesting to note that despite the fact that each of us is a desire to ask and know the truth, yet many prefer to remain silent and agree to, directly or indirectly with everything they are presented.

Our company is slowly preparing for 2010 elections, and so each political party will represent their political agenda and direction. It is therefore in place for us voters to ask the questions that affect not only a political vision of the future for the next 4 years, but also on issues aimed at protecting human life from its conception to natural death. Someone here may argue that these issues are sensitive and people divided in their attitudes and opinions or that the answers to these questions only looking for the Church. But the truth remains that it is on issues of human life, we should all know the company to give the correct answer. This is still the natural law embodied in all of us regardless of whether we are believers or unbelievers. And yes, she is sensitive questions, but who stand in defense of every human being from its conception to natural death, to defend those who are unable to speak, but who, as we have the right to be born?

There is therefore time to ask questions, seek truth and meaning of our future direction as a society and as individuals. At the same time is the time that each of us planted a respect for every child from birth and lifted his voice publicly to their defense and the right to life. Just this way we made it clear that our issues with our existence are not indifferent, and that human being has the inalienable right to life. Certainly meet with many who misunderstood us or even refuse. Nedajme therefore discouraged and prefer us stand on the side of life, on the side of those who have no respect for life, those who enacted the law against life but for life, those seeking only the right of the mother, but also the right of the child conceived, the who realize that society or nation is dying, when going for nascent life. Human life must be respected absolutely.

So conclusion, let me ask you a question: Can you plant a respect for every child from conception until natural death, and create better conditions and conditions to cater for every child and every pregnant woman? If yes, then you have my vote.

Novartis: "Ready new investments "

The pharmaceutical company confirmed the plan for establishment of Siena and Rosia

Siena, February 18, 2010 - unions against Novartis . avviatosi A clash after putting on the move of 24 employees of the fund's largest holding of commercial vaccines which now adds them to the concerns of the union to maintain the current level of employment. And so, groped to be peacemaker we feel with the institutions at the forefront of the provincial administration, which last week held a table institutions, trade unions if they so request, for a comparison with the company Novartis.

invited comparison to the representatives of the towns of Siena and Sovicille, Confindustria, the unions, the RSU of Novartis, the pharmaceutical company executives and the chairman of the Region of Tuscany, Claudio Martini. An important presence in the latter emphasize the importance of a company that represents a significant asset beyond the provincial border. The leadership of Novartis demonstrates the evolution of the employment trends of recent years and said they were ready to continue with investments in the sites of Siena and Rosia. "We went from 1080 to 1471 permanent employees - said Gianluca Magnani, head of Novartis staff - with around 2,300 people working for us. In addition to the 400 million already invested in two factories in Siena and Rosia, there are a whole series investment under discussion that could have more positive effects for Siena and its province. Some concerns of trade unions are too: for example, I can assure you that we will continue to have the production of vaccination season. "

It looks like the same view, the secretary of the CGIL Siena Claudio Vigni " The positive part of the meeting was that the support of local institutions and the region that gave us an important availability. Less positive the part for Novartis, the company is unable to say what will be the investments beyond 2010. There is a short term vision that keeps us alert, ask for precise answers. For example, on assumptions made for the Pandemic: 400 people on short term contracts that if they are not renewed will to create a surplus difficult to replace. We have ensured that will not move until 2012 the production of flu vaccine, but a possible transfer abroad can lead to additional effects negative. The company also reiterated that for permanent employees is not a problem, but for the other 800 workers? ".

to echo him Gian Luca Fè CISL :" We have raised our perplexity, from the perspectives for the next two or three years that are fairly nebulous. They are pursuing the development of some quality products, such as the vaccine against meningitis, but it will not be ready until 2012: to date there are doubts about the renewal of temporary contracts and the consolidation of employment. A worry about the mobility of these 24 workers: innanzittuo for their personal destiny but also that of the commercial company that we consider of crucial importance. "institutions, on their par, stressed the need to elevate the quality of the relationships between the company and unions and reiterated their determination to continue to monitor the situation regarding the maintenance of employment levels and trajectories of development of the corporation.

It thus remains to show that, given the small size of our list, did not seem appropriate to refresh and further facilitate the work of our "adversaries."
It could be argued that ours is a profession that is going to disappear and maybe, soon, even our competitors will follow the road We traced. I say that if the scientific information and propaganda could be successfully carried out by means that are independent of the figure of 'Isf (mailing, internet, call center ...), our figure would disappear for 20 years: companies with a lot most of our experience would have smelled the savings and the ability to increase profits.

2) reshaping the commercial network.

Liquid Logic Trigger Review

Church recognizes the face of every needy face of Jesus Christ

Sunday, 14.02.2010 at Pope Benedict XVI. visited the shelter diocesan branch organization Caritas, the Rome Termini station area. The Holy Father also addressed to those who seek assistance from charities and stressed that the Church loves them deeply and abandons them because in the face of each of them recognizes the face of Jesus Christ .

"witness of charity, which here assumes tangible contours, it is the mission of the Church, together with the proclamation of the Gospel truth. People do not live only material things, or help to overcome the difficult moments. necessarily needs to know she is, and know the truth about himself, about his dignity . As stated in the encyclical "Caritas in Veritate," truth without love easily slips to sentimentalizmu. Love becomes an empty shell, which can be arbitrarily filled "(No. 3). Church to his service in favor of poor undertakes to report all the truth about man, whom God loves, and he created in his image. The man who is redeemed by Christ and called to eternal communion with him. "

Holy Father pointed out that his visit to the shelter shall be held within the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. As he said, eager to encourage not only Catholics, but every person of goodwill, especially those who are in charge of public administration and working in different institutions, to "engage in building a future worthy of man, in love again objaviac driver for authentic development and creating a more just and fraternal society ."

The intangible value of vaccines The 5,000 contacts celebrates

working in this company in this industry, I was told years ago that there is an "intangible value" of vaccines: it was defined in this way by dr. Rino Rappuoli, and consists in the fact that vaccinations prevent disease, sequelae of varying severity and case fatality related to them, but none of it and can not touch ("inviolability") apparently, the benefit caused by them in the population. We have no cases, for example, polio, and then we can not immediately appreciate the fact that our son vaccinated, is immune. Not seeing more of these diseases, we do not realize the work of prevention implemented.
When I go to a pediatric clinic, I always thought with pride that I see some of the children could not be there had it not been vaccinated against, say, meningitis or similar.

Pride to help you save a life.

Now I see that instead, for this company, the value of vaccines and scientific information relevant to them is very "tangible" and led by the same commercial logic of the hams and car.
From now on there will be fewer pediatricians who can talk, sometimes heatedly, whether to recommend a vaccine. Maybe you will not believe, think that companies seek only profit and will be tempted to think "the masses, but these vaccines have been useful only to those who produce them ...." returning to make considerations in years of work have contributed to diminish ...
thought to be important for the community where I live and work, I believed that vaccine manufacturers should look beyond profitability, I thought we had a mission, but apparently I was wrong: for those who remain in this company, the blow will be hard: we found that sell vaccines, ham or cars is the same thing.

What is bioethics?

account of human life is inextricably linked to new scientific discipline - bioethics. It is a science that studies human behavior in the life or health man in terms of rational moral values \u200b\u200band principles. Bioethics (ethics or life) is an interdisciplinary science, because it uses more knowledge of science, exploring the man - biology, medicine, philosophy, law, sociology, as well as theology, psychology and others. The basic principles that help guide human behavior and respect the dignity of man: first

The absolute value of human life and its nedoktnuteľnosť.
human life is the life of a person who is value itself themselves. It is based on the unity of body and spirit. Therefore, the human person is never and can not be a means or thing that can be used to achieve some goal.

second Indissoluble connection between life, liberty and truth
life, freedom and truth are inextricably linked to good. They are like one link in the chain - if one link in the breaks, tears, the whole chain.
can not know the truth without respect for life. And there is no freedom if it is linked with the truth. Separation of freedom from the existence of objective truth impossible for human rights in the rational basis. Without objective truth opens the way for superficial and totalitarian actions of individuals, institutions, and even the company itself.

third Knowledge to heal, not manipulate.
primary objective and natural medicine and scientific and technological progress is to protect human life and human assistance, and no manipulation or even its destruction.

4th Not everything that is technically possible is morally acceptable.
Scientific and technological progress is good and useful man. But just as long as its aim not the handling of the man himself. As is "in service" and not one person in the service of art.

5th Laws must protect the good people. The natural order
State laws is to protect the good of its citizens, protect the innocent and weak against unfair attacks stronger, etc. Therefore no law that would in any way questioned or qualified the primary good of man - a citizen (and life in this primary good and the value is), can not be considered legitimate, even if the result of majority vote. In State that is democratic, the majority is "lawful", but not automatically and morality.

6th Proceedings under the so-called. double effect (side effect)
This principle is known in ethics and is often used in bioethical issues. What is it? Voluntary deed may have in addition to direct a desired effect and indirect effect, which is unsolicited. This effect is not uncalled purpose or means of deed. It is undesirable, but tolerated because it is necessarily connected with what we are trying to particular act to achieve. "

BLOG!

The Blog, the Internet, identifies a site similar to a personal diary where the author or authors, called bloggers, narrate events in chronological order , facts and news.

We also used immediately, this tool and as a diary of events to disseminate information, to do satire like to comment, to express opinions and feelings. Instrument more utlile for a commercial network consisting of 27 external, scattered on the Italian territory, for which the blog is the place to meet, the virtual marketplace where incontarrsi and share the story that sees them sadly protagonists.

The blog is important, the high number of contacts (Today overcome the 5000, and the counter has been activated after 10 days!) that has also meant that we entered in the search engines most popular shows its usefulness. Even the news programs, newspapers and broadcasts in-depth that speak of our story, the blogs have taken the material and through the blog have contacted us.

In this month's blog was one of the "unexpected action" that has most annoyed at those who, in the company, is responsible for having made the unfortunate decision of dismissal. Every day we have "guests" by the head of Novartis, the friends of HR and communications (which salute) are among the regular readers of these pages.

One month from the famous conference we're all still stunned by the business decision, but we must express our disappointment and our regret not screw our anxieties and fears. We try to make us feel! Who in one way and one of another we all involved.

I am convinced that (I quote a colleague), with education, fairness and clarity, we must all express our opinions, take the steps that it deemed appropriate to bring out our story. Our work has always taught us that in front of a customer refused to surrender but do not have to find new ways to break through: the yield is not part of our DNA. We do not snatch our lives without reacting, we owe it to each of us and our loved ones.

However, there is also a value of "political" I would emphasize in the words of Carlo Pisacane:
"all my reward, I will find in the depths of my conscience and soul of this dear and generous friends ... that if our sacrifice does not bring any good to Italy will be at least a glory for it to have produced children who wanted to sacrifice himself to his future " .

I therefore hope that our example, though imperfect, is useful to awaken the conscience and stimulate action, only then can there be a sequel. We have seen how we can go over everything to interest and money, and we should have understood that only together we have a chance to resist.

A month ..

It 's been a month of phone calls from 'Opening of mobility and still can not win my disorientation. Indeed, every day there are events (Fiat or, closer to us, Glaxo), which do nothing but increase it. Not to sound rhetorical and do the usual pistolotto moralist but how do we accept this system that relies exclusively on the profit?
Why capitalism has generated such distortions? Novartis has super active accounts in billions of dollars in profits, shares increased by 50%, higher dividends and cash but not enough enormous. Despite all this there are cuts' costs. " Glaxo sacrifice 4000 people worldwide and 550 in Italy on the altar of only 3% less profit miss: attention, no mention of negative data or even a low profit.
We're talking about 11% instead 14% planned for a year of global crisis generalized. Just the fact that in the presence of a similar social and economic conditions, companies can provide a useful double-digit (which also provided for the pandemic ?...) is a distortion, but then, compared with a still excellent and becomes a monster in the financial world of 2009,
there are layoffs and even aberrant. Can someone explain to me why in this capitalist system and the multinational companies in general should be immune from any social responsibility? Because the employee becomes a "cost" and not worthy of consideration and the rights of a person?
Why is profit, profit, market research more cost-effective substitute for the ethical conduct any business and any value? In short, because our destiny, our future and our lives must depend on these "logical" are the most inguisto morally wrong and you can imagine?

Dear colleagues,
has been a month since the day we became aware of "programs" business. With every passing day could understandably be that the sense of despair and fear us assalga.Lo despair and fear are "bad company" that might lead us to decide not only strategically mistaken but also, more importantly, we could weaken in those values \u200b\u200bwhich have hitherto marked the success of our group .
let's not do this! With love
